I am a fun, creative and mindful person, with an enthusiastic and adaptable personality and an eye for beauty in all of its forms, shapes and colours.
My journey in bridal make-up began in 2014 when friends and friends of friends would ask me to do their make-up on their wedding day or other special occasions. In time, I realised how much I enjoy the intimate connection that is often established with a bride. I thrive on the whole process, from getting to know the person a bit better, designing a flattering look together, and the exchange of energy and trust, to being able to make them feel comfortable and relaxed on the day and seeing them radiate when they look in the mirror.
Along the way, I’ve been spreading my wings in other sectors of the industry as well, which is a catalyst for having a unique approach to bridal and event make-up. As one of my brides described it, my style is soft, fresh and quirky. I am an advocate of a look that is catchy and has an interesting effect, as opposed to perfection and disguise. I believe there is no such thing as perfection, and striving to get there will put a shadow on one’s uniqueness and naturalness. I never compromise on skin and I will always spend enough time on prepping the base properly and making sure it is flawless. If we manage to get a good canvas, any make-up will look better and will sit nicely on the skin. I believe bridal make-up doesn’t have to be boring, that’s why I am a bit reluctant to the term itself, as I don’t follow the one-size-fits-all trends. We can create anything from a fresh natural look to a glam makeover, or we can also go a bit more creative (which I often thoroughly recommend). Creative can mean anything from a colour or metallic eyeliner, to a unique lip colour or a pop of glitter on the eyes.
I have an organic, holistic approach to beauty and my kit and practices are a reflection of this. I grew up loving nature and spending a lot of time amidst it, and I’ve had a keen interest in nutritious and organic foods since I was an adolescent, so adopting the same principles in regards to my kit and practices only came naturally. I’m now on a journey to educate others about the benefits of being a mindful consumer and using plant based products as opposed to synthetic, but also to look beyond skincare and makeup when dealing with skin issues, which are often symptoms of a lifestyle as a whole. The workshop itself was brimming with insightful advice and refreshing perspectives on approaching winter skincare holistically, keeping me engaged throughout. Laura possesses extensive knowledge on beauty and well-being, generously sharing her time and encouraging collaboration. I left with numerous ideas, approaches, techniques, and product recommendations to integrate into my routine.
At the workshop's conclusion, we were invited to note down any questions we had. Laura followed up with a detailed email containing custom recommendations, proving to be invaluable to my beauty and well-being journey.
The entire experience was energising and uplifting; I can’t wait to attend more of Laura’s workshops in the future! -

Laura was an absolute life saver for my wedding. After my original makeup artist let me down at short notice for my bridal makeup and bridal party, Laura stepped in and saved the day with her wonderful makeup team. The makeup trial was a great experience, Laura really listened to my vision and invested … More into my wedding story and the outcome really complimented my entire bridal look. It was important to me to use vegan make up and Laura knew exactly what to use and how to create my look whilst keeping my ethical choices in mind (I'm so grateful for that).
Laura took the time and effort to understand my concerns/vision and my skin type - I felt so at ease with her. She had some recommendations on skin prep for the run up too. Communication was excellent throughout and we created an inspiration folder for each bridal party member so Laura and her team could come prepared. Everything was really thought out and professional - timing was perfect on the day and no request was too big/difficult. Laura took the time to get my makeup complete and stayed until I went to the wedding for final touch ups - she even provided a touch up kit for me to use throughout the day - so helpful!
My wedding morning was so relaxed and that is a credit to Laura and Irina's positive and calming vibes - they arrived in plenty of time, was super organised and gave each of my bridal party what they asked for and more. We all felt really special and was able to have a relaxing time in what could have quite easily been a mad, nervous rush - I felt like Laura and Irina were a part of my day and it was a privilege to have them included in our story. It was important to me to have a calm morning and prepare myself for the wedding and I thank the ladies for providing a happy space! It's pretty difficult to please a party of 8 women, but Laura and Irina smashed it. The girls were all so pleased with their makeup and received lots of compliments - all different skin types, all with different looks - they all looked stunning.
